These were made from the salvaged wire from my first attempt at a Preston Reuther wrap. I'll switch back to craft wire before trying the swoops and swirls again. Ocean Jasper cab from ArkieRockhound Fortified agate I tried really hard to get the last picture a bit clearer so you could see more of the fortification, but I only made it worse with each picture. And now it's much smaller. I'll try it on the scanner later tonight...

That's a really different piece of OJ you have there, I like it. Interesting wrap too, that's one thing I've never tried is making prongs like that with the folded wire. Hope you get the other one enlarged some so we can see the bands.

It's amazing what the scanner catches that the camera doesn't. Granted, it's also great to have a nice scanner. There are thin bands of alternating clear and white, that are hard to catch at the resolution displayed...so here's a close-up.

Oooooooo that is cool! I love using my scanner for close ups, my camera just doesn't cut it like the scanner does. Very pretty!!

Wow not even 7:00 AM and I've learned something today-never even thought of using my scanner! Love the OJ-it almost looks like opal.
