Oh dear Jack, that sure doesn't look like it's too much fun, hope it wasn't too serious. You've got a good start on learning the art of wire wrapping and I hope you continue once you get your hand back in working order. One specific thing I noticed that you really need to work on and that's the ends of the wire. You can't leave them sticking out where they can catch on something or scratch someone. It's one of the hardest parts to learn in my opinion but necessary. Also, with the wire ends showing like that it doesn't have a "finished" look. Another point is smoothness, particularly in the bail. Try to get your wire to lay side by side, very smooth, not overlapping the wire next to it. That's the other part that's very hard but important.
I'm so glad you've got a start on it though, good for you! Keep on practicing, I can tell you, your first efforts are much better than mine were.

It looks to me that it will be awhile until you can practice some more. I feel you have the desire and your rocks are very good. I like the little pigtail on the top but strive to keep the face of the rock as clear of wire going across it if possible I know that sometimes it is difficult. Not many people have automatic perfection when it comes to wire wrapping. I always practice with copper wire (it is supposed to be for hanging pictures from the local hardware store) you should see my scrap pile. and when I am satisified with it then I put the silver wire to it, sometimes it takes a couple of tries. Do not be discouraged --- when you heal up get to work and post some more.

( My hand was cut 2 X down the big finger and once down the ring finger , to release the contracture, i was out cold from 2 25pm to 6 30pm Feeling better now .)
