I'd say you have a darn good start there. One thing you want to try and do is to keep the ends of the wires tucked in underneath as much as possible to prevent them from catching on something. In the first two on the right side looking at them. You can see in the binding, the end of the wire. That should have been taken another half wrap around so it was tucked in next to the stone and less likely to catch on something. Cool stones, I like seeing things that are uniquely shaped.

I like them - how are the fingers? I personally like the one that has the smaller wire for binding, even 1 gauge (sorry Doc) lower makes it more visually pleasing - but that's a personal thing for me as mine look pretty chunky... I deeply admire, Cher, Kim, KD, Sands & the others for their wrapping talents.
Good work - I'm guessing the wire is dead soft cuz if you're using half hard, there'd be blood on mine..

From a non-hoping-to-be wire wrapper, those look awesome. I like th funky shapes and those are neat looking stones.
Here's my question to all you wire-wrapping experts here: Which types and what gauges of wire do you use for the outside and which for the little binding parts on the sides? Half-hard, Dead soft, it's all unknown to me. I tried wire wrapping with some wire from the garage (the kind used for chicken coupes, etc.) and it did in my fingers. I don't think I want to post a photo of the lumpy mis-shapen result (I am still proud), but would love some advise regarding wire type/size and pliability. Steve

Wow you did a great job. I'm still learning rocks before I can learn wrapping. I think they look great! Tonja

Right now I'm using 22 gauge dead soft (round or square) for wrapping and 22 gauge half hard, half round for the bindings. I also have some 19 gauge twisted that I've used. Only reason it's 19 gauge is because that's the smallest I could get. I use the same gauges in the gold-filled wire.

Personally I say you have doen a great job and you will only get better. Be careful using the expensive wire for practice though and get you some cheap copper or brass to work with. Done underestimate what you have here and what you have done so far.... you would be very happy to know that these would sell very well! Harry

Cher, where do you go to purchase wire for wrapping? I'll have some stones coming outta polish soon and would like to maybe give this a try. Thanks Tonja
