I have been messing around with jewelry pieces beside just the pendants that Jo and have been crafting (at our leisure). These rings took a couple of trys to get right because you are dealing with different sizes of digits, and stones. Of course I'm not posting the honorable mentions My best friend, partner and wife (Mrs. Banjo) has been working to encourage me to do more posting. So here ya go... One of the problems is getting a decent photo of the end result. The bracelets are really simple to do and maybe you can see how they are done in the photos here. The rings are a bit more difficult. Although it is a standard pattern the stone is cut with a 12 degree bezel and the size of the stone has a big impact on how the wires and ring size are kept in place. This was inspired by the ring 'Doc' made and I have been wanting to make a good one ever since I saw the one that he made for 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. Still room for improvement, but thats the challenge of it. Thanks for looking! Banjo-

Wow, very nice Banjo. They all look so intricate in their design and I can see where the challenge would be in the rings. But you did a fantastic job on both the stones and the final jewelry. I agree with Mrs Banjo, you need to post more of your work. You've always been an inspiration to all of us. Thanks for sharing you talents.

Hi Banjo!! And thank you Jolynn for getting him to post the pics!!! Those are really cool, I have been looking at a pattern for a ring but don't have the right wire to do it. You're pics are encouraging as always and your jewelry is beautiful. I love the braided one, it's simplicity is elegant.

Alright people...Did Doc post a pic of the piece he made for the Pirate Movie? If not...where can I go to see it? Banjo...Since I've joined this board & seen the different beautiful wraps, well, it's a new love for a different type of jewelry that I have aquired. One day I ran across a site that had an even more elevated type of wrapping. I could see where this was gonna lead for some of the very talented people one this board. Then you popped up with these drop dead ones of your own! I'm sure many people have told you what a talent you have...well let me throw my my vote in with them. Banjo...those are wonderful.
Sincerely...Liz

Doc posted the ring that he made for Johnny Depp in the movie 'Pirates of the Caribbean' about a year or more ago. I was able to find where I had that picture stored and if you missed it...here it is- www.banjo-creek.com/Images/Jewelry/Rings/Doc's Ring.jpg[/img] Thanks for the compliments. -Banjo

Banjo-these are very cool. The ring looks like it was "fun" to do-What size wire did you use? I've done lots of wire bracelets, but have not yet attempted one with a stone.

The rings took me about 3 trys to get something that even resembled a piece of jewelry. It was done with 21 ga square wire and 22ga half round for binding. After the third try I had a pretty good idea of which wires were supposed to be doing what. They kind of all have a function and I have found that I needed to watch carefully and work slowly to maintain balance and symmetry.

Thanks for sharing, Banjo. those rings are really beautiful. I'v wondered about rings in wirewrap. I have been playing around some but haven't gotten really serious with that yet.
