Hi Jonje, welcome to the forum.
I did a lot of searching and studying the pics then I got some artistic wire to practice with before I went on to the real stuff (sterling and gold-filled wire). I do wire-wrapping, some do the wire sculpting like Preston Reuther. He's got a web site but you can get his tapes (cd's) on ebay cheaper than at his site. Other's I'm sure will pop in and let you know how they learned.
