I've had a busy weekend - and have been obsessed with wrapping. I sure can't wait til I get my square wire and 1/2 round! I hope it's soon because now I'm out of silver!!! All are wrapped in half hard, usually 20g, round SS with the bindings in 24g round SS Rhodonite - 3 wires Local river rock (can you see the cat?) - 6 wires local river rock - 3 wires local river rock - 3 wires nephrite jade unakite (purchased beads & 22g SS round wire) glass bead ring 18g SS round glass bead ring 18g SS round rose quartz ring (it's too big, but it's funky. I like the ring pattern, just need to get a smaller bead/stone and a CLEAN one!! ;-}. Got the pattern from Lapidary journal. used 20g rund SS for the base and 26g round SS for the wrapping around the ...finger hole thing. :-) Thanks for looking - any helpful ideas are welcome. (I hope I got the image files small enough - please let me know if they need to be smaller, I'm just linking to my photogallery.

Very nice job Shelby. You were busy! Great pics. I like the second one the best, but they are all so cool! Thanks for sharing! Tonja

OOOOOOOOOOOOO nice job, I see that you've already been busy with the Eni patterns! I like the bail on the jade, but if you want to make it a bit thinner, try two wires instead of 3 and weave... you must be using sterling silver, it's too shiny to be craft/crap wire
Great job

Yup, been playing with the Eni patterns - I love them, but they use a LOT of wire! My biggest problem - with everything so far - is keeping the wires from curving. I think I need some of Kim's rubber clamp thingies. Weave? How do you do that? Yup, I used SS for all of them, I love working with that stuff, the craft wire seems too soft now and loses its shape more easily. But I figure brass = gold since I can't afford gold. AND non-tarnish silver Artistic Wire is going to replace the SS simply because it is soooooooooooooooooo expensive!

Great wraps Shelby, apparently Eni has some nice tutorials. I really like the style Tamara used on her pieces and yours are equally impressive.

THank you for the comments. Only the woven bails are from the Eni's tutorial. I've tried a ring, but it looked pretty sad when I was done! I'll have to work on that a bit - and keep the style in mind when making the cabs!
