I had no idea what wire wrapping was. I just got into stone tumbling because I like polished stones. I am so excited that I can make something so nice with them! I can't wait till I get my first batch done; I will surprise everyone I know with wire wrapping. I assume to cab you need an expensive machine?

if you aren't ready to buy a cabbing machine, you can get a workforce saw, cut some slabs, then cut the slabs into pendant like pieces and tumble them for wrapping. cher prepared hers this way.

Would they hold their shape in a rotary tumbler?

Yes, as long as it's hard rock and not some type of softer stuff. I don't have a grinder so I do all my stuff on the saw.

Cher-all of your stuff is cut and tumbled with no grinding? Do you use any kind of a jig with your saw? You've got a workforce, right?

Sorry I didn't see this sooner KJ. Yes, I have a workforce and all of my stuff is cut and tumbled with no grinder. Shaping I do on the saw and with my dremel. Don't have any kind of jig to use with my saw, I just hold everything with my fingers. It's amazing what you can do if you're careful.
