Update 11-06: added photos of the polished up pendants and the "Rocklicker dremel" I spent the better part of the afternoon and this evening wire wrapping. My fingers are tired and the coffee table is full of bits of wire and tape. Here's the results. First, 3 more practice wraps, Morgan Hill Poppy Jasper, Arizona wood, and another MHPJ: And finally the reason I have been practicing so much. I must have gone through almost two ounces of square wire by the time I was ready. Tonight I took a deep breath and took the plunge. These last two I made for a coworker for his wife. First, Arizona wood: And Morgan Hill Poppy Jasper. This is the one I was most nervous about doing, because that's not gold filled, it's the real thing. Though it's 10K, the thought of screwing up $111 worth of wire made this a five hour long wrap. The gold was stragely hard to work with, but I am happy with the results. BTW, this pendant is about 3 inches long. Thanks for looking. Steve And here's what I do in a pinch for a dremel. Actually, I'm too cheap to go buy one, so I rigged one up. Works good if you have a variable power supply, otherwise you only get one speed: fast. Maybe I'll rig up a speed control.

Thanks guys! Update: I just found out today that my coworker's wife loved them both. She sent me a big email thanking me which was very nice. The one she wore today also caught the eye of a coworker and she asked for my email address, so cool! I'm going to take a wirewrapping class too. Looks like I've been pulled into the world of wirewrapping Steve

Classes are fun. Just be sure to keep your style rather than trying to duplicate what you saw in class.
