It's amazing how many people are into rocks and would like some rock jewelry!
I finally just glued a fitting onto one of my 'pretty rocks' and wore it with a chain I stole from another necklace. Nothing fancy, no wrap, altho I have been practicing . I had 7 or 8 comments on my necklace the other night at the basketball game!
Wore the same pendant at another local function. Phenomenal response!
So, most of my friends have computers; I showed them some of your work, and they were amazed! When I said "that's what I'm trying to do" they wanted to place orders; I told them it's going to be a veeeerrrry looong time before I can do anything good enough to give away, let alone sell!!
So, we bookmarked some of your sites on their computers.
Please realize that I was pulling this out of my (blond) hair quickly, after a few glasses of wine.
Here's what I bookmarked for them:
1. Kim, at delta rock gallery(and thanks, you have so many artists listed in addition to yourself! BTW, my friends (and myself) were all in awe of your gorgeous Christmas tree wrap. I had to explain that they could not just order one, it's a one-of-a kind type of stone. I really lost them when I explained that Joe had probably cabbed it himself??)
2. banjocreek at www.banjo-creek.com/
3. Jonje, at www.angelfire.com/planet/coupleofbeads/
I know there are so many more of you out there! Please don't feel like I left you out. I just kinda mentioned my rock hobby casually, and the response really took me by surprise. So I punted.
Please let me know if you have a website you want to share. I really think there's a market here, in smalltown America!
And it's not just about marketing; it's about the fun of it!
Like the little 3-year old gal who crawled on my lap, grabbed my glued on pendant, and said "Pretty rock! Can I have one?"
I said, "Sure....."
I think her parents might now be in the market for a tumbler, or at least a bag of "pretty rocks."
Jingle bells, oh what fun it is, right?
