ok this is the 1st faceted stone i've ever wrapped. i screwed up the 1st one by working it too long trying to figure out how to get the stone secured. reading the instructions would have fixed this. but noooooooo i just looked at the pics and dove in on the 1st try. on the 2nd try i read the instructions .
i dropped this stone about every 3 minutes on the carpet reaching for tools. by the time i got through i had 5 flashlights out from searching under the couch for it. on one occassion i just absolutely could not find it. i had looked under and on everything. i get so involved in what i'm doing that i was having trouble trying to retrace what had i done and was really beginning to question if i might have stuck it in my mouth and accidentally swallowed it. the more i thought about this, the more i started thinking i felt a lump in my throat. i kept reasoning that i had never stuck a stone in my mouth before but.....i looked down and i had on 2 different color shoes which only helped me along in thinking i definitely had been too involved and not paying attention to what i was doing. i had just about resigned myself to telling jamie i thought i had lost her stone when i moved one of my child's socks and voila it was hiding!
i expect the next one to be better but i got this under my belt and it is very pretty. my eyes are about crossed from working with such a small stone. i absolutely did not intend for it to look like an angel at completion but it does. if i didn't tell you this and you just saw it, you probably wouldn't think it looked like an angel mainly because it is a small pendant and what stands out is the stone. i was so proud of it jamie that i put it on a leather cord and wore it to the basketball game to show it off. it passed the test of many women and several men too.
now when i started with this stone, it appeared a yellow color to me but when i added the gold wire it turned green. guess that is why it has "verde" in the name.
jamie i would never have attempted a faceted stone if you hadn't sent these. thanks for the push!
quarter put in so you can get an idea of size of the stone
