i cannot capture this one like i'd like to. it is much prettier than my pic. when i macro it and get up real close it makes the folded down wires stick out like a sore thumb when really you can barely see these at all. and the color is much prettier than i'm getting too. i just got a 6+ct amethyst to do one for myself and jamie's is bigger than mine so it must be 7 or 8ct kim

Hmm, no apologies needed there, it looks super!! It that a faceted stone, or is that a play of light? Looks like flawless amethyst at any rate, a real delightful rarity. -Don

WOW!!! Hey Kim, that is perfect. I am so glad I sent it to you instead of having it set by someone, it looks so elegant. Woohoo, my newest favorite BLING BLING!!!
I want to see yours when you get done with it too.

thanks all! did you hold a quarter up to the screen to get an idea of the real size?
dan this is the 2nd one i've done. i have ordered some stones so i can do some more.
stoner i had someone think i cast the setting. turned out he casts and he was examining it thoroughly trying to figure out what i'd done.

Who did you end up ordering stones from? If you don't mind my asking?

Good grief that's pretty! How on earth do you work with something so small though. Y'all must have some itty bitty fingers on you girl. I'd probably break the stone seven times over trying to hang onto it while I wrapped it *L*....mel

mel my old eyes are the biggest problem - i need to wear that head gear for this but i've just been using reading glasses.
jamie i've gotten them on ebay. i make sure they have good feedback and that it says they are natural and not lab created. looks to me like people are buying from thailand mostly but i'm not that brave yet. probably buy one from thailand tonight just because i said that lol. they do have the biggest ones.
