For all of those wire wrappers that think their wraps need help or they just aren't perfect, let me show you mine and then you can put things into perspective. This one I like to call "THE BOAT ANCHOR" This is the front 22g RETB CP (22 is just a guess on the size, RETB = rediculously easy to break CPM = child proof material.....could poke your eye out.  This is the back, which looks exactly like the front.  Made from some electrical wire I found in the garage 22g RETB CPM This next lovely I like to call "The alien" or "Cousin It" This is the front.....I think  and this is the back.......does it really matter at this point? LOL  and a close up so you can all see how troubled I really am, okay so I have a few issues. LOL  Actually, I was able to save the stone and sent it to Kim, if it could only talk. Well, that pretty much wrapped up my career. Thanks for laughing or err I mean looking. |

Jamie you got the second bail wrapped up nice! As for the first one.... Well I choose to have the right to remain silent... but not from the picture, I was laughing at your description of the wire and the why you,re posting the back for that idiot that keeps asking for shots of the back (me!)
i actually see potential there, with the right wire and less of this eye-poking, out-to-kill wire

Yeah, I think my first one looked like photo #1. #2 looks good. You got the right idea. It looks you aren't afraid of jumping in which is what you need to keep at it. I hope this is the first of many.

Thanks for the post, I still have not posted my 1st attemp, I do pull it out from time to time for a laugh or two. I think its like everything else, your 1st few are not going to be great works of art but if you keep practicing, you'll get there. And when you get there you can show me the way

Jamie did you post that first one on purpose??? I definitly see potential in your second wrap. Nice swirlies and wire placements and all. All you needed was to hide the wire ends and all was good.  |

Wow, cool Jamie, you wrap just like me! But you got me beat because I've never been able to get any of my attempts to look as good as your second one. Whenever I tried wrapping, the first thing that came to mind was, Hmmm...looks like the Bionic woman's pubic hair. Some things are better left alone.

Hey Jamie,
it's 11:15pm here in Brisbane and my wife and I were about to get some sleep and decided to have a look at one more thread. It's this one!. Thanks mate, it's great to have a laugh just before bedtime. Thanks for having a great sense of humour. My wife had a look at your "anchor" and erupted into such loud laughter I reckon she nearly woke our kids up. We're totally laughing with you, not at you. Anyway, I've never tried wrapping so who am I to speak.

Jamie, don't give up! You should have seen my first wrap or Banjo's, for that matter.
(I still consider Banjo's wraps to be the ultimate...wish he'd come back to the Board more).
That second one *the Alien Banana Wrap* was actually kinda cool.

You really need to try with some workable wire, not devil wire like that stuff.
Put that wire back in the garage quick before it attacks another rock. ;D

The second wrap is far better than the first. you need decent silver wire. a lot of things aren't easily mastered you are showing good promise get some better wire and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE

Jamie,
Just look at the progress from the 1st wrap to the 2nd. That's a Drastic Change, now don't give up so easily. If you feel like giving up, check out your mosaic tiles room...if you made it through something like that, you can definitely make it through the trails of wire wraps. Heck, send that first one to beefjello......he may be able to use it as a fishing lure, if nothing else, boat anchor.

Back for a second look Jamie... I really think you should do some more.. the 2nd one in this set is pretty dang good! It's very creative and if you had used some good wire I think you'd like the result much better... I'm impressed by how you did the swirlys on that one. Do some more!

You're just not holding your mouth right. Do you stick your tongue out to right or to the left when you concentrate? Are you pursing your lips in that psycho position that tells the wire that YOU are the boss? Do not cajole the wire...be the wire!

Thanks everyone for all of the comments, you "one80mike" are welcome to laugh at these as loud as you can. It just makes me appreciate all of the people who have this thing mastered. I think along the same lines as stoner, some things are better left alone. The actual reason for this thread was to give everyone a good laugh, I have tried wrapping on several different occasions and everything I end up with looks about the same.........A pretty stone in a mass of dented wire.
