Well, I gave it my best try. LOL Rings are hard!! I've definatley learned some things from this task, but I think it will fly. I started out following the directions in the wire wrapping book but ended up finishing with my own ideas. It's hard to make sure the stone is secure. It's also difficult to tuck the wires in and keep it uncluttered underneath. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking, Tonja

That's really pretty Tonja. Making sure the stone is secure is always something I worried about too, in my pendants that is. I've never had the courage to try a ring yet.

Thanks Cher. I'm not sure I like it. The more I look at it, the more I want to take it apart and try again. It didn't really come out the way I imagined it. We'll see how I feel when I look at it tomorrow. Maybe I'll change it, maybe I won't.

32 visits and 1 response. That says it all. I'm going to redo it.

I'm with J and J. I like it. The gold and the stone really work together. I imagine rings are tough. I haven't wanted to try it. You are very brave, and I like the results. Steve

I like it Tonja. The design of the wire goes well with the stone.

Thanks guys. Warren, I find it hard to sell something to someone when I'm not happy with the product to begin with. Thanks for the thought though. Tonja

Sweet! I love the stone, excellent choice for a ring. Did you do that on a cabbing machine (can't remember if you have one or not)

Well, the women that wanted this leopardskin cab made into a ring didn't care for this wrap either. She said it was to plain for her and wanted a ring with twisty curls. I told her I couldn't make a ring like that and I thought it would be impractical cause the twistys would get caught on stuff and ruin the ring. So, I'm going to dismantel this ring, chaulk it up to a learning experience and make something else. Thanks for the encouragement you gave, but seriously, this ring stinks!! LOLOLOL Tonja
