Hello everyone. I just LOVE the wraps that everyone does. Really amazing. This is a hobby that I'm really excited to try out. However, I have no idea where to start! Could someone offer a list of materials I would need to start doing this? The easiest wire to work with for a beginner. Books maybe that would be helpful. Good online sources to purchase the materials I would need? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all you fabulous wire wrappers! Tammy

Hi Rockinmom, check out this link from some past postings. I hope this will help you. If not, search throughout the wirewrapping section, past page 6, and there are several listings that might help you futher. Practice with cheap wire you can get at the craft store and when your ready, move on up to the good stuff. Also you can buy a standard set of tools at any craft store that sells beading supplies. I hope this helps you out.. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=wwp&action=display&thread=1165406738Tonja

I get my supplies from www.wire-sculpture.com this site also has a wire sculpting kit for around $140.00 or so. The kit comes with 3 DVDs that will show you how to wrap Cameo's which can be used for cabs. This site also has free on demand videos of several projects you can do. Tami

Thanks for all the great info. I bought some 24 (or 26?) g silver wire to try out from a craft store, but it may be waaay to thin! I'm going to play a little more with a little stone or two and see what happens. I'll post my first wrap no matter what it looks like! lol Tammy
