When co-worker retired, I made her a wrap (it,s the one that stoneageindustries posted) Another co-worker has been openly hinting that it was very nice and that she'd like one like that. As you wrappers know sometimes you need inspiration to attempt one of these. I had another piece of the african lace - a bit smaller though and I did have some sterling silver wire, but I was saving that for my mom's cab & my dad's ring. She said she'd pay me, but she's thinking along the lines of $5 or so for this (and the sterling silver is so expensive & hard to find around here), so I decided to make one out of craft wire (very shiny craft wire) it's 24 gauge round wire (now I remember why I don,t like working this stuff...). I'm going to give it to her. She's a co-worker, she's nice in that she's given me a few rides home, she's kinda nice to me, she's often very bullying towards me and talks down to me, she often talks badly about her work friends (not just co-workers, these are her friends), I figure if she does it to them, I know she does the same to me. All this to say, I made this for her no charge although she said she would have paid, I decided to do it in craft wire. Not sure if she'll know the difference. - Not sure if she'll even wear it... Here it is - I rather like it I'm not a bad person am I?

I must say, Nancy, that's much, much nicer than any craft wire wrap I've ever done...and I'm not sure I would have wrapped one for her. I have two co-workers that have openly hinted they'd like one of my pendants, so I gave them a price. Now they hint when their birthday's are. Very pretty!

I can't tell the difference in the wire. Great looking wrap Tweet. With a wrap like that I imagine she will love it and wear it all the time. Hopefully this wrap will change your coworkers ways and she will be nicer to you. I like all the swoops and swirls. They go with the cab nicely. Steve

Tweet, I think it was very generous of you, especially giving her that gorgeous stone, I sure hope she appreciates it. You did a really nice job, don't tell her it's craft wire, she'll probably never know the difference.

I don't know the different either between the wire, so if I don't see probably won't either. At any rate, its very nice.

Good on ya Tweet, it's always the right time to carry out an act of kindness...especially when we are a bit torn about doing it! It looks great. I really like it. Mike

Well Tweet...I must be a bit of a hard ass. I guess I've become a little jaded when it comes to dealing with people that are...shall we say...crappy?
If you truly want to give this gal a wrap, then I say yipee! Give it to her in the spirit of sharing something YOU love with another. But if you are giving it to her in the hopes that she will look more favorably on you in the future...please...don't waste your time OR your rock!
So...how do YOU feel she will take this gift?

Well the gift was given, she said she liked it - another co-worker commented on it saying it was very nice. I don't know if she'll wear it I didn't give it in hopes of making this person like me more or will become my friend - since I don't really care what she thinks about me either way. In the beginning it was a gentle subtle hint "Oh I really like the pendant that you made for Jane!" Then it was "I really like the pendant you made for Jane, you should make me one - hint, hint" Then when I didn't give her one, she'd say when talking to others while I was around "I've hinted many times that I really liked the pendant that you made for Jane and I wonder if you got the hint there" Then it was "I'm gonna pay you - you know!" I was feeling kinda threatened I did it because she's sometimes been nice to me and I'm afraid she'll start sending nasty notes if I didn't do one for her. Basically it was a "thank you" gift but not a "you're the greatest friend in the whole wide world and I love spending time with you" kind of gift - I'M also not trying to get in her good graces, cuz you can't really change her spots

Whoa! Nice wrap.... way to nice for someone you don't really like! hahaha... (jk) It's funny because I have a similar story about some of the ladies that work in my office. They normally wouldn't give the time of day but when they found out what I was doing and saw my web page.... Well now they're just sooooo happy to see me... "when are you going to start selling your stuff?" lol.... weeeelll there's a long list.... Great Wrap Tweetie!!! Love it! Dan

It is a wonderful wrap. Don't beat yourself up too much for using craft wire, you really can't tell the difference. I think it is a good thank you gift for her giving you rides every now and then.

very nice, especially for craft wire. very soft and hard to work with. Softer than dead soft I think... especially in 24G.
