Closet Wrapper! Welcome aboard! I really like second pic left & third pic right! how well do the stones stay in there? Seems you have the knack for that Yeah Preston Reuther makes it look easy - it's a trick of the camera...

Welcome! It seems you are a talent! All of them are very nice. My favorites are middle right and bottom left. Adrian

Closet Wrapper! Welcome aboard! I really like second pic left & third pic right! how well do the stones stay in there? Seems you have the knack for that Yeah Preston Reuther makes it look easy - it's a trick of the camera... Thank you, all! I thought they looked pretty decent, but then what do I know? The stones all stay in really well. They're secure. I finally figured out how to get them to stay without the back looking like an ugly mess. Preston Reuther. That was his name. The first one I tried to "just wipe the wires a few times to make them a little harder" & "just push it around using your thumb, then switch to your finger." His result was a lovely 4 wire flower-ish swirl. My result looked more like a golden cousin it.

Welcome!! I can so sympathize with your sore fingers, it takes awhile to get used to it. I can see where you have some practice to do with the preston reuther style but the following wire wraps are very cool for a first time. I really like the look of the amethyst and the two right after it. Not sure about the last one, I really like the way you have the curves going up but the top needs a lot of help. I'll bet by the time you got there, your fingers were so sore you didn't care. ;D All in all, you did really good, keep it up! Be looking forward to seeing more.

Wow! I think they are incredible! I'll buy the whole lot of them! wink~wink That is if you're willing to part with them? The stones don't look as polished as they could be though? Hmmm... wonder who's department that is? LOL! Love you sweetie & you did an awesome job on your first try out! Last

Those are your first tries? Wow (insert bug-eyed smiley face here)! You're a natural! I like the different techniques. That second lace agate and the Amethyst are my favorites, and all are very nice.
Welcome to the board too! Watch out though. I think the guy who posted before me might have a crush on you. Steve

Hey, I've been practicing here and there since December, and I'm not where you are yet. I did finally order some 'real' wire, but haven't been brave enuf to give it a try yet. And, I'm not posting any pics yet, so you are braver than me! And yours look a lot better than mine, trust me. I bought some books, which I think are easier to practice with. It also really helps when the experts here post the front and back of their art! In fact, I'm having Cher wrap my son's girlfriend's 'hot pink' pendant (see the 'hot pink' thread here). I'm hoping I can do the Christmas wrap for the other son's girlfriend myself... We'll see. More power to you, and I think you are doing an amazing job!

Welcome! I really like the ameythst and your last wrap the best! You integrated the wire and the stone so well, they really are lovely. I can't believe they're your first attempts! I really think you have a talent for this!
Be careful...it IS addicting!

Thanks, again! I didn't think to post the backs... I'll get a few pics of those later today.
Cher... you were close! I got to the top of the last one and tried for a tight 4 wire swirl... it didn't go well, so I separated the wires and tried for something looser. After 15 minutes or so, I looked at it and called it done. It just wasn't going to get any better & my fingers were hurting too badly. ;D
