I believe I'm addicted to wire wrapping. Every time I look at something small, I hear this voice in my head saying things like, "You know, if I took some silver wire and...." ;D For instance, I'd never have thought to buy this, like I did yesterday on eBay. Now, I'm thinking... good Lord that's ugly, but I can dismantle that and make something neat.

Yes, exactly! The beads will go to my girls... all three of them love to string beads. Pretty color, so not a total scrap.

I too tend to look at stuff or buy stuff to take it apart !
I agree that cameo will look nice wrapped...

Love the blues in there, maybe you can work the blue sapphires into it like Kim and someone else did that too. Man if I had a memory I'd be so dangerous.

That was my first thought, but the auction said it was actually a gaudy bracelet. Then I thought of a 70s or early 80s Prom. lol

The saphires look to be snapsets, so they could easily be worked into a wrap. I think it will be gorgeous! Give it a whirl. I love the cameo. Can't wait to see pics. Tonja

Okie dokie. Got this in the mail today. It's even uglier in person. It's dismantled and dinky. I'll try to figure out what to do with its wrap tomorrow and let you all see how it goes.

I hope you get lots of nice things from it. From the amount of stuff going on there you've got at least a nice cameo wrap, a beaded necklace and who knows how many earrings. I can't wait to see what it turns into. Steve

Once the wrapping bug has caught on the more you want to do, I think you have a wonderful idea. Tami

I think you hit the nail on the head...silver wire definitely! Have a great time with it. Yeppers...and even hardware stores become dangerous to enter. lol... Everything needs wire.

Oh, I already love the hardware store! Mall, schmall... they can keep 'em. Robert won't take me anywhere near a hardware, fabric or home store. ;D
I wrapped the cameo, but don't like the way it came out. It's been dismantled again.
