Poor Karen, she was all excited to be able to get a hot pink pendant for her son's girlfriend. Then I come along like a bull in a china shop or is that a rock hound with a hammer? Anyway, I got the cab from Ed, had it almost done and was thinking that it was looking pretty nice (quietly patting myself on the back). Then I broke it ... The moral of the story ... There really isn't one except I need to learn to be more careful and it's a darn good thing I'm dealing with RTH family members! Karen, I'm really sorry!! Thanks for being so understanding and patient. Ed's going to make another pendant just like this one and I'll be able to put this wrap on the new one and get it off to you as quick as I can. Ed, I'm so sorry I broke your beautiful cab, thanks for coming to my rescue and making a new one.

Poor Cher, I don't want her to feel bad!! Sometimes things break. It happens to me all the time. Usually it's a lot more expensive, like the alternator or the kid's collarbone or something. It was looking really wonderful! Thanks, Ed, for doing that! And Cher, please, please don't sweat it!

I know how you're feeling. Just tonight I broke a Lapis Lazuli Cross that my brother had cut & I was in the pre~polish stage. I picked it up after rinsing out my vibe/tumbler & it just flipped outta my hand & broke when it landed. And it was only a 6" drop too. Ah well, there will be plenty more! Last

I don't know, I'll send both pieces back to Ed and see what he can do. There's a little gap from the little pieces on the top side but it could be covered. Either that or round it off and make an oval cab.

Oooo lapis lazuli, I'll bet it was gorgeous too. Can you fix it? Funny! That was the very first thing my brother said when I told him about it. Too late though, I disgustedly threw it back into the vibe. Really should have stopped to think about it though as I bet it could have been fixed. Ahhh this grasshopper has so much to learn! Last

Was that a Rhodochrosite? I have cut a couple of slabs of this and am convinced that it is fractured from the mine. it is beautiful stuff but is very fragile
