Hey Raquel, I'm no expert but that looks fantiddley-tastic. I love it. The wrap, the boulder opal...beautiful, mate. Keep at it. You are good at this! Gotta love those Aussie stones!

Thanks guys! Did you see the boulder opal on the general discussion. OMG. I can only dream of a rock like that.. I would probably just sit and stare at it not knowing where to start ha.

You should be very proud to wear that, awesome work. The opal is very nice too, where do you get your material?

I buy my wire thru Rio Grande as for opals I buy from House of Tibara. They are great to deal with. I met them here at a rock show. Which is again next weekend I can hardly wait. I have had this stone since last year but didn't want to set it in a reg bezel and just couldn't figure how to show it so that the fire isn't covered up. Then I found this wonderful board with all these great ideas. Thanks again all! Raquel

Great job for a first attempt, love the stone. I was wondering what Yowah opal was since it looks like boulder opal to me, is that an area name?

Actually, you're right it is a boulder opal. Yowah is a city in Australia and at this point I'm not even sure why I put that. I can't remember if thats where they got it. We had talked a bit about a trip they had just taken to Australia, so that must have just stuck. I will ask next weekend..

Wow, Raquel, you're a true natural-born-wrapper! If that's your really first (and even if it isn't), it's fantastic!

Absolutely beautiful stone. I like the fact that the wrap is fairly simple and doesnt take away from the stone. I instantly focused on the stone and forgot about the wrap and had to scroll back up to comment on the wrap. haha. awesome stone. can I say it again? I've seen some boulder opal, but that is by far the prettiest I've seen yet. did I tell you... awesome stone? The wrap is nice, especially for a first attempt and I am impressed that it in no way impedes on the beauty of the stone. great job

That is a really pretty wrap. I go for the simpler styles and everyone is right: you hit it dead on perfect. Nice job.

You're a natural! It's simplicity is it's beauty. You've found a great way not to overpower the stone. And with a stone like that, wow. It looks beautiful. Steve
