I'm a wrapping fool this week, as it's been raining the last two days... and will be through Saturday according to Intellicast. ! Here are a few new pendants: Petrified Wood: Green Grossular Garnet: Amazonite: My first attempt at a basket wrap (ended up with a very looong basket part ;D); Peitersite:

Those are really nice. My favorite is the last one simply because pietersite is my favorite stone. They are all very beautiful. I have GOT to learn how to wire wrap! I just don't know where to start.

I didn't either, really. I ordered some brass wire and tried to duplicate the wraps other people did. I couldn't figure out how the backs were done on most of them, though, so I watched a few of Preston Reuther's free videos. Now, I can't seem to stop!

Those are great, and it is a bit addicting. Where did you get the instructions for the basket wrap? I've seen others here too, and they all look great.

The garnet is my fav, too. And, of course, the pet wood. That basket wrap probably terrifies Deedolce, she feels herself threatened . Adrian

Wonderful wraps! I like the pet wood the most. It looks very woody and the swirls are very nice. The amazonite is great also with it's wavy wraps. It one of those where the style of the wrap fits the stone. It's very water-like to me. Great job on all of them. Steve

Where did you get the instructions for the basket wrap? I've seen others here too, and they all look great. I didn't have any instructions... just tried to recreate someone else's work. Probably how the top ended up so long. ;D It's harder than it looked like it would be. Couldn't figure out what to do with the ends, since I can't seem to get the hang of curls & swirls.

i just have no clue how the basket one is done. but i like it! kim I don't either, I just started at the top and wrapped the wire at an angle around my round nose pliers and then worked the wire down around the stone and back up. I'm sure there's a much easier "correct" way!

RE Basket wrap; Cher did one for me, as per Deedolce. Go back in time in this forum, and they have good advice. I love the Thunder Egg Cher did for me! I have been looking at my wrap over and over, and what amazes me is that it appears to be a single piece of wire (which it is!!) How the heck to do that? No clue, yet, but I have a new RTH mission... learn how the heck to do that!
