A while back I had my mom visit Sands' site. I've realized if I can get all my family interested in some aspect of this hobby, they don't give me nearly as much grief. So my dad's helped with the grinder, and the females of the family get to look at possible jewelry. See the pretty rock? Wouldn't it look great around your neck? Anyway, she chose this stone from him. I've been waiting for inspiration or a reason to wrap it, and figured Mother's Day would work. I didn't want to hide any of the stone, as I love the picture. Here's a decent shot of the wrap itself. The stone looks much better in person. I attempted a Jonje style swoop-de-loop, and then had to edit it as it wasn't really me. Perhaps the bead would have helped. Here's a better full frontal version, but a poor shot of the wrap.

Very nice Ronda, really like the way you wrapped it and her choice of rock was a good one. To me looks like Rocky mountain foothills between Denver and Colorado Springs.

I love your wrap on this one. You did a great job of showing off the stone. Your bindings are very clean. "a Jonje style swoop-de-loop" is that a new term for wire Wrapping?

Very nice stone, though I wander what are its real colors. The wrap is so nice and discrete, letting the "landscape" in the rock's pattern entirely visible.

Thanks all! Adrian, I edited the second photo so it would be as close as possible to the actual colors. The first photo is too dark & grainy to tell anything.
LOL - jonje, I couldn't think of any other way to describe what you do to the tops of the wraps.

If the colors in the second pic are the real ones, it 's even more beautiful since the "landscape" has its blue (almost) sky.

Great job! I love that stone...I have one, yet I haven't done anything with it yet.
