Here's a couple I did recently... Amazon River Jasper in SS Green Zebra Agate in SS - this one didn't turn out quite the way I wanted... thanks for looking! Dan Here's a pic of the backs for Tweety. Not as pretty as the fronts... I'm still learning... these were a struggle for me to do but I'll keep practicing...

Holy Smokes Dan they're both awesome! the second one is psychadelic with the void! - how did you want it to turn out?
PS: may I see the backside please! ;o)

I'd like to see the backside also! Pleease! They are both beautiful. I love how the stone is showed off with them. And since that Green Zebra Agate didn't turn out the way you wanted it, I would want you having such a horrid wrap laying around, just send it here and I'll take care of it

Ya'll are sweet.. thanks for the nice comments. ;D On the 2nd one I didn't get the bailing at the bottom positioned the way I wanted... the left one overlaps the stone a bit unlike the right one that does not overlap... I've been doing some shapes with one side concave specifically for wrapping... I like the way the negative space can be highlighted with the wire... I did a similar piece a while back. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=wwp&action=display&thread=1168902253&page=1I have a 3lb tumbler full of 'S' shaped cabs turning right now... they're probably 6 weeks from being complete. Tweety - I'll post pics of the backs when I get home from work. Chinook - My wife claims almost everything I make but I'm gonna make more of those. Thanks again! Dan

That first one is nice and clean, but yeah, you get really creative with the voids!

They're both so elegant, I like the heart shapes of the top wires. But the second one is GREAT!

On the 2nd one I didn't get the bailing at the bottom positioned the way I wanted... the left one overlaps the stone a bit unlike the right one that does not overlap... If you would have made the wire on the left not overlapping, would the wrappings have looked uneven? I like how that turned out...

Very nice, Dan. I like the simple elegance and I agree with the others, the void in the second one is intriguing.

Thanks again all...
Mark, I do when I have the time.... we experienced a power outage last weekend and I took advantage of the time to do a couple of wraps. I found some good plastic tool coating at the hardware store and coated all of my wrapping pliers.... makes it much less frustrating to work the wire....

WOW! Those are very cool. It has been said already...plenty of times...but I'll say it again...I'm loving that void in the second one.

VERY nice! Nothing wrong with voids when they work...and yours works. Love the stones too. Marking the wire comes with a heavy hand...I did it too when I first started wrapping. It's also easy to do when I get frustrated...so, I have learned to walk away and chill out before I continue. lol.... When I got my Lindstom pliers, I had to learn to get even softer with the pressure. ack! The coating you got for your pliers will have to be reapplied from time to time. It wears off I hear.

You guys sure make me want to do more... thanks for the encouragement. Nancy - I had to use something on my pliers. i'm heavy handed by nature... Eventually I may learn to be more light handed but I'm still pretty new to wrapping and need all the help I can get! I was using scotch tape and had to re-apply it almost every wrap... the tool coating I'm using seems to last a little longer. Oh yea... I want to ask you where you get your Stainless Steel shot? ...and do you use the mixed variety? rods, cones and spheres? Thanks, Dan BTW - I added a pic of the backs at the top for Miss Tweetie...
