Hi Everyone, Just wanted everyone to see this wrap Nancy did for me. Its for my Mother-in-law, we are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary starting June 16th.....They are taking all of us on a Hawaiian cruise, Yippie!! Ugh, ok..I'm calm, back to the wrap..... She did it on a moments notice, she was happy to do it for me and was more than fair about the trade. Nancy, thank you so much, you are a stellar artist and a wonderful person. Thanks again! This is the wrap, I even took a picture of the back side for Chinook and Tweet...... This is the back side, (can't get nothing past me!) Thanks for looking and Nancy, thank you!

WOW, I'm soooo glad you liked it. I suppose my emails always end up in your trash folder....not always a bad thing on retrospect. ;D Jaime picked out the stones she wanted in each piece (yeah, another one is coming)...well, except for one, which was the peridot...I had to use one of mine, as hers wouldn't work with the design. (plus I'd have had to order more settings...ack!) Anywho, here is a pic of it with my new camera before I sent it to you! I love my new Samsung 8 mega pixel camera...it is awesome and easy to use. Another Ebay purchase ofcourse, cause I'm frugal. (nice way to say cheap in my book) Anywho...I was on pins and needles, as I always am on making custom pieces. I never seem to get over the ol "maybe they won't like it" crap. Ya'll have fun on your vacation. Me? I'm a land lubber...won't get on any thing that goes out into the big BIG ocean. Yep, I'm a chicken.

Jaime, you are very welcome!
Thanks for the kuddos you all. I appreciate it a lot. This design takes lots and lots of 26 gauge wire to coil. I enjoy coiling as it is theraputic to me...however, I can only do so much at a time due to arthritus. ack! You do your design first, tumble for an hour or so to harden the wire... and then go back and coil and add stones.

Awesome Wrap!! I never thought about doing one like that. Very cool. I love the coils also. I've not tumbled a wrap yet, can't get past the fear of squooshing the wire up, even thought I've read about doing it and have seen it done. I'm just chicken. Jamie, have fun on your voyage. Nancy, great wrap. Tonja

Jaime-beautiful cab, Nancy stunning wrap! So many questions-you say above that you do the design first, harden and THEN coil? It looks like you have 4 wires going here, is that right? What size wire is the wrap/design, and is it round? You said 26G on the coiling wire-that's half round, right? I love the way you've got the bail hidden. Jaime, thanks for the pictures from all angles-it's great to be able to see everything that Nancy's done! Have a great time in Hawaii, and congratulations to your in-laws!

Thanks again all! KJ...the cab has 6- 21gauge square wires. I use 21g half-round to bind the sides and 18g half-round to bind at the top (bail). The square wire is coiled (wrapped) with 26g round wire (soft). Yes, I do harden the wire more with tumbling in stainless steel shot. Then I go back and individually hand coil each curl.

Ok...I finished the piece I was working on. Just took it out of the tumbler of stainless steel shot. Will have a pic soon. Personally...I don't like it. ack! We shall see.
