Hello everyone! I finished today a batch and I had a favorite jasper that I wanted to wrap if it came out in good conditions. And it did, so here's the wrap. The first version was with a sort of square spiral that was intented to look like the stone. But my girls told me it would look better without it. I did't give up imediately, I hammered it on the anvil but finaly I agreed it would look better more simple, especially because it's masculine. So here is the final version: "- Could I see the back please?" - Sure, Tweety, here it is And the happy rock picker, rock licker, rock polisher, wrapper and owner Thanks for looking, Adrian

hehehe I'm getting quite the rep aren't I? I love what you did with it - I never thought of leaving loose ends like that - I quite like it - very masculine - your girls were right about removing the swirl - but I do like the hammerred look - (girls are always right!)

Thank you all for the nice words. You seem to be right, my wife likes more the back than the front.
Here I don't find all sorts of square, round, half round, HH, DS and so on wires, that's why my wrap is made only with round wire. I think next time I'll hammer some pieces of wire to flatten them and use them for bindings.

Adrian remember that if you hammer the wire it will harden the wire, but I admit the look would be cool! You gotta show us that!

Both sides are great... I would worry that the "loose ends" would catch on your clothes or skin and pull away from the stone or get caught in stuff. But if you can get them to stay down, it looks really good. great job
