Hello all, That wrapping is strange, several weeks it didn't attract me and now it hits me again. Have a look at these two wraps I've made using two of my fresh tumbled stones. Firstly, a round translucent quartz that i tried to wrap in Dee's basket style. Dee, my respect for you is now even bigger. Front: And back (a lot of wire here, to make the stone steady): And another wrap made with a little piece of wood. Maybe looking carefully at the "back" you'll understand the thread's title Front (the colors and the shine are really great, but the flash killed them ) And the back: It was not my intention from the beginning to form the A letter, the idea came while working. So, I think this is gonna be a second front . For both these wraps I hammered the binding wire. It became a little harder but I like it more this way. Thanks for looking, Adrian

Ahhh... did a couple more eh? Good job on the basket wrap. Don't think I've ever seen a wrap done like the second one... looks good.. way to think outside the box!

I like both, but the basket is my fav. You can wear it any which way and it looks great.

Both are nice but I think I like the basket best, too. I have got to learn how to do this!

Thanks. You better keep the "beautiful" and "great" for the top wrappers here, nice should be more than enough for me. Ang and Lady B, I've learned only from the posts here and from net tutorials. Make some tries and post them, you must not reach perfection to let us see the results (here I'm a good example ) Adrian

You did a wonderful job on the basket. I love the way you did the second one, especially the way you tucked in the extra lengths of the bail wire. Tami

Way to go Adrian! I love it when people think outside the box. To me, it is what makes a person an artist. You need to copy in order to learn...but when you do what your mind wants you to do...that is giving the piece a part of you. Too cooool. *thumbsup* Also, I admire your attitude. yeppers...I do. Note: Binding wire should be half-hard...therefore, if you are hammering soft wire...you are getting the temper you need. Twisting the wire will also do this and makes for a nice hold.

Aha, thanks Nancy, I just figured out why I can't wrap. You need temper to wrap and I always lose mine when I try to wrap!!!!
Nice job Adrian, I like the second one the best.

Thanks again. Nancy, coming from a wrapping master like you, I cherrish even more these appreciations.
Ed, thanks, I thought I'm the only one who likes more the second one. Maybe for loosing your temper, the solution is hammering ;D

Master? Moi?....I'm still striving to attain that label. lol... That is a huge compliment. wow...I'm blown away. Really! Stoner...that is tooooo funny! Been there...done that! lol....I finally learned to put a piece down and walk away. I've been working on a piece that is all faceted stones...the center is a round quantum cut 13mm Orchid Amethyst accented with darker 4mm Amethyst. hmmmmm....trouble is, I have a couple of spots that I don't like and I haven't figured out what to do with em yet. dang!....so...I put it down. Otherwise, I'll just end up messing it up cause my "temper" will get the best of me. lol... Anywho, thanks for the laugh!

dang good wrapping? ? ;D I'm the one who should appologize...I'm just a tad shy sometimes and I can be made to blush easily when complimented. I'm working on just saying "thank you" and stopping the blubbering.
