Here is the winner wrapped. Don't know if I like it. I tried something new and I am not too happy with it. The only binding wire is in the bail, the rest is done via a 5 wire braid. Front Side

Ooooh! I LOVE it. Very beautiful. The stone was already beautiful and that wrap truly enhances it. Happy Rock I'm sure. T.

Okay...I am inching my way out onto a very shaky limb here but since you stated:
"Here is the winner wrapped. Don't know if I like it. I tried something new and I am not too happy with it."
I am going to be honest and tell you that I really like the top and the sides of the wrap. Oh that limb is really shaking now so I'm not going to say anything about the bottom of the wrap.

Lady b I agree the bottom is what is bothering me the most.

Nothing wrong with trying new effects but (for me) the curlies on the top just don't seem to fit the randomly bent wires on the sides and bottom. Can't go by just me though, it's not my cup of tea but there may be some who really like it. I like things to be more balanced, evenly matched and flowing smoothly, I know there's a word for it but just can't think of it right now. (having one of my "duh" moments) ;D I'd say more than anything, be honest to yourself, it's a reflection of your work so if it's not something you're really happy with, give it another go. Gotta say though, that stone is really pretty!

I agree with Cher. I love the braiding - it's a neat style. I haven't mastered it - my wires get bendy-bumpy too. I'd keep the bail simple because the wrap and the stone are so complex. I can't wait to see your next one in this style!

Great style, it matches very good with the stone. If the top curls are not for hiding something, I would have simplify them or maybe you could make them look more chaotic (I sure couldn't).

Good choice for the winner (my choice too) but how solidly in there is it? how well does it hold compared to a bound wrap?

it's not as solid as a bound wrap. It is however in no risk of popping out. Tweet would you like to see the back?

Jeremy, I never though of asking for the back of that one since you posted the side (I didn't want to push it) but since you mentioned it.... Those montana agates are super - always a surprise - the wrap compliments it very well

One more question: is that 24 gauge wire? and is it a braid or is there a way to twist them like that?

Yes its 24 gauge. Yes its a 5 wire braid. You thinking about giving it a whirl?

Good job Jeremy! I like this one.. doesn't overpower the beauty of the stone but still has plenty of visual impact. Nice! Dan
