They look great. One bit of advice. you need to attach the loose ends of your twists to something otherwise they will snag on skin and clothing. Your bails are looking really clean and smooth. Your learning fast!!

Thanks Jeremy, I appreciate the advise. I did think about hooking them but was afraid I would scar up the wire worse than it already was! LOL I need to get some of the stuff you dip the tool ends in! john

Aside from the possible snagging problem, I really like these two. Very intriguing layouts and the wraps complement the cabs.
Nicely done.

John, Those look great! You're coming along nicely. I use a tool dip called 'Plastidip' which works pretty well. The pliers have to be re-coated every 3 or 4 wraps but it doesn't take long to do. I only use it on a couple of pairs of pliers for heavy work.
Also, I use an Emery board to file down any hickeys or sharp edges that might snag clothing. Dan

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice I like the color combo
As for the pliers, try NOT to hold the wire too tight - that may also help as does taping the jaws of the pliers & filing down the edges (please say you're not using pliers with teeth either - pretty please!)

Many Thanks, I use vise-grips! They are the best!! Just kidding, my wife has all those flat nose and round nose pliers and I mainly use the flat ones and a couple pair of hemostats and my hands. I do need to replace her little cutters, they are no good! How about you guys? What tools do you use the most? john
