Finally got up the nerve to wrap a Pietersite cab that Ed gave me at WWR. It came out pretty good I think. I can't stop staring at it... lol. I can't seem to get a decent pic that shows the cab very well.... the pic doesn't do it justice. Maybe I'll post a movie of it too.... side back Thanks for lookin' Dan

Wow that is a great job you did there Dan! It exposes the cab to the max. Nice lines and elegant swirl at the top. The first pic shows the cab nicely, however I will not try to stop you if you want to do more pic. A very elegant piece. Daniel

Wow Dan, nice wrapping job. The wires just flow with the cab and don't distract from all that's going on in the pietersite. Okay, so now I want my cab back!!!! You should do more wraps, you're very good at it.

That's an awesome wrap! It's beautifull from all the angles you pictured it! The curls in the top are so natural, it's amazing! I thought Jeremy did it when I first saw it!

Thanks for the great comments folks. This is the first true cab I've tried to wrap, all my others have been tumble polished cabs. I gotta say it's much easier to do a nice flat backed cab. I was a little perplexed when thinking about how I wanted to orient the cab. I decided to do it this way because I think the blueish streak down the center looks like a waterfall. It has wonderfull chatoyance that makes it look like flowing water. Ed - Glad that you like the wrap. It's such a special little cab that I wanted to do it right, I know it was hard to part with... Adrian - Thanks man. Being compared to Jeremy is high praise indeed. ;D Dan

You did a really godd job on that Dan!
I hadn't seen Pietersite in person until about a week ago. Never understood why it was sooooo expensive. Looks fairly common in most pics. Then...I saw a finished cab up close. The stuff looks like velvet in a rock and I finally understood.
That's a beautiful cab Stoner.

Nice rock wrap Dan! I love the stone - really super shine and pattern, and the wrap compliments it beautifuly. The gold wire suits the colours, and the gentle wrapping helps bring the piece together. I like the graceful "S" swirl at the neck, that really draws the eye back round to the stone. Fine wrapping Dan, Thanks for sharing the pictures! Cheers, Harry.
