Hi all. Sorry I have been absent from this board recenty. Well, the local rock show of which I was a part of happened so I will be around more. During the show I had a booth and was approached by a club member with a nice opal he had bought. He wanted me to wrap it after seeing a tray of some wraps and cabs. I managed to get it done by the end of the show in between talking to people! I was feeling the preassure a little but I soon went into wrap-mode and whoop there it was. It's a little over an inch long. Steve

What a pretty opal. The wrap compliments it beautifully. You did a great job even being under pressure, I bet he loved it. Raquel

That looks nice. Opal is kinda hard to wrap. I know full well what it is like doing a wrap for folks, while you are constantly distracted, questioned, and chaos going on. You did a good job. Question though, on the left side of the wrap, going up into the throat wrap, is the 1/2rd backwards? It is probably my eyes, I have been wrapping all week and I am almost starting to see things. I have done that, and I am just wondering. That sure is a great little wrap on that stone.

Beautiful! Everything works together really well, the opal, the shape, the silver wrap, the style, it's great!

Hmm, I just studied the photo and I'm not sure. I think it's OK, but I did see a few other mistakes that I missed, like the wraps not matching up near the top. The guy who I wanted it done just loved it. Hopefully he won't notice. Steve

Steve - Those little things you mentioned as 'mistakes' make it more beautiful. To me beauty is not about 'perfection.' It's a lovely wrap on a lovely stone. Well done. MaryAnn

SWEET!!!! Awesome job there Steve!! I think you did a terriffic job on that wrap. I looked closely and I think it's just the lighting on the neck part. I think the wires are right. Even if not, It's gorgeous!!! Tonja

I'm blind I'm blind. Should have put a warning about the fire in that opal. My eyes popped out when I scrolled down. Great job on the wrap.
