I'm posting these here because I'm not sure if the Photo section is for cabs or tumbles. I guess it's not that big a deal. So these are some of what I've been messing around with lately and the more I work on the Genie, the more I want to cab, and my wrapping falls by the wayside. Maybe I'll get these wrapped, or maybe they'll end up in a display case. The fun of it is, it doesn't really matter. Not only have you been doing a lot of cabbing Banjo, but you've been doing some excellent cabbing. I like the shapes and the way they are cut out of the slabs to present the best features of the stone. You do the cabs and let Mrs Banjo do the wraps.
excellent work my friend, Ed

those are gorgeous, Banjo! love them all, but that Priday Plume is magical. looks like a bird in a tree in a field....
the Mex Lace is also precious, not that i am partial to that stuff or anything....HAH!
good work, Banjo, nice to see you aren't sitting on your duff watching the tube bellering for wifey to bring you another beer!
(Let Mrs. Banjo do the wraps, right, Ed....pffft!)

I have no favorites.... I love them all a whole lot - do you keep sharp points on the cabs? - I'm scared I'd hurt myself - but then again I am accident prone....
Excellent job

Another group of top flight cabs, but I sure love that Lace agate.
Keep up the outstanding work. And keep posting the pics. I'm hoping my drool will not short out my keyboard. LOL

Thanks all for the kind words. It is appreciated. I am hoping to wrap a few of these this week. Showtime- To get the cabs to stand up I stand them in Beeswax. It has a little bit of sticky to it and wipes right off. I have a few bricks of the stuff from when Lithographers used to do 'paste-up' on newspaper pages. Tweet- the points on top may be points, but they are not sharp, really. That is where the bail will be. I try to stay away from sharp edges, and corners since it is sometimes difficult to get the wire to hug the corner as well as I would like. Thanks again...

Way nice Looking cabs Banjo, You have been staying busy, righton! I like the Labradorite cab becasue of the shape, and large field of flash. And it does look translusct so i bet is kinda glows? Also a side not to showtime, Bluetak, is a reusable glue/putty. I use a small amount on a short toothpick. So the cab can stand upright, or at least more parralel to the camera lens. www.blutack.com/home.htm

I just found this post, and WOW! That's a beautiful bunch of cabs. I decided I can't get enough of photos of people's cabs and tumble loads. I love the interesting shapes, especially the blue lace agate. Banjo, what kind of polish did you use for the burro creek cab? It took really well.
