my friend earl just got back from the big meteorite show in AZ and his wife fell in love with this cab and got it he wants me to wrap it for her i never did a round stone it will be a challenge any suggestions would be great ps he had some of the big wigs in meteorite research there and he hung out with them wile they checked out his rock and half said yes they are and some where undecided and some said no there not but most said they have been gettin more of the same stuff from dif country's and it has them boggled they are sure its not slag metal and they have been studying other pieces of the same stuff and told him don't sell it till they fig it out it may be something older then they have studied yet

ed it is a cool stone id like to have a 10lb chunk of this it has a great shine so im thinkin it must be harder then usuall
yea id like to get that for every one of my unwrapped cabs too hahahah maybe someday

i was just looking at how well it shined and wondering if they knew a secret method to shine it. i've never seen it with a shine like that.

Wow that's gorgeous. Don't know if you've started it yet but this is just an idea here of one way to put the bindings for holding the round stone. Follow the color of the arrows. This is using 4 wires. The two center wires stay at the outside edge at all times. One goes front and one back to hold it. Like I said, it's just an outline for starting, the design comes from within you.

thanks cher that gives me an idea of where to put the wraps for the wires ill prob start it tonight if i finish ill post a pic ok i been sittin here lookin at it and i just cut the wire for it hahaha so im gonna start it

I think Wonderstone can vary in hardness depending on how much silica had been drawn out of the rhoylite base. I have a few slabs that look like fine grain concrete and I expect them to only take a satin finish. But I have one or two that feel almost like glass and I cant see the grain. I expect those to take a high-gloss shine.

that is the shiniest Wonder Stone that I've ever seen! it's such beautiful stuff, i love it even with no shine.

Hi Sands man, Wouldnt it look better in a cage ?
Its a fab looking stone in my oppinion a wrap would take some of the natural beauty away ?? its just my Idea

i finished it and remember i never did a round cab befor and i was off on the bottom wrapps i ask earl and his wife to look at it and tell me if she liked the way it was done and if so id redo it but she liked it and didnt want it redone so i moved the bail over alittle and you couldnt tell it was off i took this pic befor i moved the bail so it looks way off

Gorgeous stone!! I always have trouble getting a real good shine on that stuff. I was told it's called wonder stone because you wonder if it's ever going to polish. Looks good! Jo
