Well, almost, actually these were pre-formed on the diamond wheels, but not having any finer grinding equipment yet, they went into a couple of tumbler batches, stages 2 and 3, then came out and were polished on the felt wheel with some cerium and Alox mixed. All things considered, I thought they came out pretty nice: Here from a slightly different angle: But sadly, not having any dopping stuff, still holding these by hand- a couple of the nicer pieces were ripped from my fingers and dashed into the back of the hood by the polishing wheel: I think the striped agate thingy will make a good "friendship stone", but the green sheen obsidian will need to go all the way back to starting over. Thanks for looking!

Ouch, I felt those break! The agate thingy is sweet even though it broke. What is the pink rock? I had a black stone break on me yesterday. Just when it was almost done. Don't they make a heckuva noise when they hit the back of the machine? Hang in there!

It always about trial and error with stone cutting. Be creative when the piece breaks, if you wire wrapp, it would be easy to still use both pieces. ANd in cases you got there stefan, that piece has allot of potenial for a fine piece of jewelry in my opinion. BUt coming up with a good bezel in gold, to hold the piece just off each other, would be so nice. Thats what i would do, even if that means finding a smith who can do the work. BEacsue personally, the cab together doesnt look as nice as apart Stefan. Ya, i stop using leather for polishing just for the reason it grabs cabs way easy, and can through them. As i do all my cab cutting by hand without dops. And i use Resin Belts for polishing. www.kingsleynorth.com/skshop/search_results2.php?catID=177 As they don grab your stone so easy like leather can.
