Here are some pics of my cab rest. Now I use a pixie wich has 4" wheels and it has too long since I have used any trig to know if this cab rest will work for other DP machines. If anyone needs other measurements like hight from bottom of drip pan to wheel, let me know. Base length - 4 1/2" Top (angled) - 3 9/16' width - 2 3/8" Hight (front by the wheel) - 4 3/8" Hight (back by the 'cab rest' name) - 3 1/2" hope these help, robert

I've seen those before but never could figure out how people used them. Do you have the directions for it Robert? Scratching my head trying to figure out what "place left thumb in notch" means? Bill

Is the angled shape so that you can put a 15 deg. angle on your preforms? Is that what I am seeing? I don't get it. Steve

Okay, yes you put your thumb into the notch while at the same time your other fingers (left hand) grip the cab rest (kinda like holding a baseball bat). I put the cab rest's top about a 1/4" from the wheel. I then place the cab upside down on the cab rest (make sure which ever side you wish to use is placed on top of the cab rest - ie, your looking at the back side while creating your bezel). The angle of the cab rest creates the perfect 15 deg bezel. You move the stone around in your right hand while holding the cab rest still with your left. Hope this helps.

Did you use it when you did the last cabs you posted? If so, then I'd say it works. Seems like it would be a juggling act to use though. A long time ago, Doc had mentioned using a 2x4 on end as a rest, but I never did try it.

THanks Robert- that makes a lot more sense than I thought it would- I always Bezel my cabs right side up- but now I see the advantage of doing them upside down- I think I have a 2x4 that is already cut to those same measurements (LMAO- I have about 500 Lbs of 2x4 cut offs in the back of my truck right now- the local truss caompany gives free scrap wood and I use it for campfires- just loaded up the other day!) BTW KD doesn't you Genie have one of those???

yes ed, that's what I used. I only use it on the 1st wheel, after the bezel is set, I free hand the rest of the wheels.
