Hi all. I think these 2 cabs have been the most nerve wrecking cabs I've ever done. This material is very scarce and prone to fractures like the stuff from Morgan Hill, so to get 2 pieces from shaping to polish without becoming a "cabo gone" took a lot of careful handling. But they made it and I'm very happy how they turned out. 2 shots, different angles and lighting. I may try and sell these on ebay. And here's a cab from some slabs I won off ebay and received today. I think it may be from the center of a thunderegg.

Those are wonderful Ed. Are they completely round or do they have flat backs?

The backs are flat Joe, and polished.

I don't think it a moss agate Shain. The brown material looked like the rind from a thunderegg. There's one more slab of the same material in the box, I'll try and post a pic before I work up a cab from it.

What great material Ed. I love the way you've worked them. Not a hum-drum everyday shape, they should do nicely on EBAY!

Wonderful, Ed! Both photos depict excellent stones with excellent work! You should try sell both on eBay. Can the matching cabs be made into earrings?

I seen Lucky Strike Thundereggs with similar patterns also. Same White crusted stringys things. They call it Moss. Remember, some of the best Priday thundereggs are moss filled. AS well, Horse Canyon Moss i have seen resemble more Tube like formations with similar white and green color. Occho Tube looks also similar, but is white, and more lose in grouping. I think of Tube though as showing, thick, true roughed formations all going the same driection. Like Flower Tube Onyx. It still nice no matter what formation type it may be. I still say Moss though.

Jolene, I cut those with the intent on making earrings out of them and I have a third piece that is a little larger that I was gonna make a necklace to match. Go for it Stephan, matching cabs of rare material goes for a good price on ebay.

Thanks you guys. Yea, I like the blue one too. It started out as a teardrop but broke in half, so that's what it wound up looking like.
