After cabbing those little agates for Gaetz, I decided to work up a cab from some brazilian agate I had in my stash. Now I remember why I liked this stuff so much. 40x30mm

Thanks guys, it's not quite as blue as in the photo Cher, but it is of the blue variety of Brazilian agate. I love the bouncing drooler.

LOL he expresses my thoughts so well too ... just a bit on the sloppy side. *smile* Ok, so how do you know if your getting a blue variety? I didn't even know the brazilians had other colors, I thought they had pretty much the brown colors.

Cher, I have seen Brazilian agates in some pretty amazing colors, without being dyed. I have a wedge that looks like an orange slice. And yea KD, Brazilian agates are really nice to work with and it does make you want to do more. Hey Kim, do you remember my Brazilian agate phase I was locked into, well, looks like I'm back into them again.

Cher- it is hard to guess which are gonna be colorful (blues, yellows, reds, and some greens) and which are gonna be plain jane browns- and even when you think you got it figured out- You cut the thing and BOING there are bands of color that you would never expect!!! plus they are pretty cheap and so nice and solid (usually) that they are just a kick to play with!

Good job Ed, Them agates can be much fun. The piece does look like Black Skin agate, which i have seen from Brazil, even though most Black skin agate comes from India and can resemble Montana agate too with some dendrites or blooms. Some recent baby brazils i bought for druzy rough have nice natural black/blue agate color. keep it up!
