NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Not another boulder opal - quit doing those!!!! (send them to me! everyone is just so tired of seeing those, I'll save you the pain of posting pictures, I'll just keep them all safe from criticism here with me, in my bra.... whatever...
I really like the "stripes" on that one!

Man, it's good to see your work again John. You cut that stone perfectly, it really captures the beauty of the stone. Great job.

The curve of the opal seam and the geometry of the cab really work well together.

Nice fire, good neon glow! way to go Sands, very messy stuff to work, but always more than worth it when fire is present.

Wow! Its like neon, very showy!
I have looked for boulder opal on eBay, but my searches keep turning up something called "koroite" opal. Is this the same thing?

I LOVE the brown matrix and the flashes of opal, especially the greens and blues. I was looking online for some Koroit rough, but it was VERY EXPENSIVE. I saw a really nice parcel of rough (maybe 5 pieces...) that was almost $2,000! (Sorry - I don't have that kind of $). S
