After going to all my puplic meetings I decided it was time to work on some fun stuff. Especially because I'm on the gallery tour for the art center next Saturday here is some of my latest. what do you think? Petoskey stone pendant main stone is 2' by 3" 10mm petosky beads laker Looks like Cher's twin and Mel do you recognise the firefly and srawberry jasper? Blue tigers eye Another blue tiger eye ,petoskey stone and a few others I can polish and do silver smithing better than take pictures but this gives an idea Dick B.

Those are really cool I love that laker! And the petosky pendant is super!! What is a gallery tour? Do you take your things to the art center to display them? Can you sell there or no? Did you make the petosky beads too?

Nice looking pendants. I envy you being able to do the silversmithing as well as the cabbing. Maybe some day. Nice to see some of Mel's jaspers making it to other people.

Nice work Dick. My next goal is a fabrication class at a local art school that includes silversmithing.

Ohh you have your own shop then? That's really cool Dick, I wish you lots of success and more sales coming up than you can handle.

Very cool pieces yeahda1, i like the Frist pendant, and the laker pendants the best. Nice work and i know you do well in the art tour. WE have a local one twice a year here, and i keep telling myself i will be in it. But not untill i actaully have a studio to host it out of.

Sandsman, I have to admit that first petoskey started as a mistake it was the first slab off the stone and it went in the scrap bucket then I was playing around one night and was curious to see if I could do something with it it is to thin to polish (I thought) but it did well then my wife said put it in silver and make it with beads( and how many times have I said do you want to learn how? the answer is always no honey you do great work I'll just display it)lol but seriously thank you all for the compliments. Saturday is the day and the only thing left to do is mop the floor maybe take a picture well maybe after all it is clean and straightend up dosn't happen often Dick

Wow! Great job Dick! Someday I've got to learn how to do silversmithing. The stones look so much better that way than in standard storebought settings...mel
