Hey all. These are the last of the prudent man cabs from the 2 slabs Susan sent me to cab for her. And while I was at it, I grabbed an agate slab of the the Bearcreek box. The first 5 are the prudent man agate. 40x30mm 33x17mm 35x18mm 30x18mm 32x16mm And the Bearcreek agate 45x16mm Same cab, back-lit Thanks for looking.

It's pretty amazing those first five came from the same type of rock. They all look so different.
And I love that Bearcreek one backlit...

Well, there is the original red vein, and then 2nd yellow vein. Still, moving up and down the plume you get different looks. I like the pointy one with the yellow. I have some stones coming out tomorrow from that vein.

Oooooooo that first one with the red is totally awesome, beautiful job you did on them. The fourth one is really cool too, love the plumes. That one from Bear is pretty cool too, it really looks different when it's backlit.

Thanks everyone. These two slabs were almost like night and day from each other. One had the plumes and the crystal clear quartz at the top and the other one was more opaque with the ribbon of fire going through it. Interesting material. I'm guessing the one from Bear is a Laguna or some other type of Mexican agate. Oh, and Tweetie, these prudent man cabs are going back to Susan, but the rest of my cabs have a nice tray covered in black velvet that they sit on waiting to find a home somewhere. I just shipped 20 of them to Kim to help her meet her goal of 50 wraps for the Octoberfest craft fair. It's just so much fun cutting the cabs, I just keep doing it.

Beautiful, Ed. S Personally, I think Prudent Man agate deserves its own thread. POST PHOTOS OF YOUR PRUDENT MAN CABOCHONS. Here are the gorgeous specimens from KD in case you missed them before...*please note - some are Mexican Lace. S

You know, i really like the forth Prundant. Looks like Tehoma jasper. NIce yellows on those agates too! Is that the stones actaull color, or the lighting? Good shapes too.
