Oh Stoner...those are pretty! So...on cabs 1,4 & 6...there appears to be lines through them. Are these "healed" lines I've heard people talk about? Do they make the cabs harder to work? Just curious...

Nice work Ed! I particularly like the OJ and that MHP is really sweet, such nice colors, and I love the tiny dark druzy pocket!
Liz I can't tell about these specific stones, Ed will have to fill you in, but I've dealt with some where the "cracks" are totally "healed" - essentially filled with agate so the stone is solid despite appearences, and those work the same as if they were solid, (because they are). In other cases they can still be actual cracks, especially with poppy jasper, you need to be careful and work the belts in the direction of the flaw to avoid little chips coming loose from the crack and scouring the surface.

Oooooooo man this is just too hard. Ummmmmm I like 'em all but there's three that are totally awesome. The Sagnetic Agate, Deschuttes Picture Jasper, and Graveyard Point Plume (I'm sure that doesn't surprise you) are just stunning!

Thanks everyone. Liz, these three stones that have what appear to be fractures are indeed healed fractures. These three were very well healed, but sometimes a stone will suddenly just break in two while you're grinding it. I've gotten pretty good at knowing which ones will hold together, but it can really be frustrating to grind a stone and get all the way to the polishing stage and have it break.
