Very cool Stoner. It seems you can make cabs from every rock you find! I really like the last and 2nd to the last ones. Tonja

Ed, is that rock from Stone Age Industries? I sure like that first Blood Jasper cab, the one that is almost crescent shaped, and the Stone Canyons are superb. You just get better and better. S

Susan, the Fancy Blood Jasper is from Stoneage.
Oooooooooo Ed .... those are amazing, just beautiful!! The Stone Canyon Jasper is really cool, the 2nd one looks like continents and ocean. Outstanding shine too, you sure got a lot of variety in the Fancy Blood Jasper.

More amazing work Ed! That blood jasper is awesome material. That Stone Canyon you've got is eye popping material too. I've got a lot of big boulders. After seeing your cabs, I'm definately gonna put some on my short list to cab or tumble...mel

Thanks everyone. Susan, the blood jasper is from Stoneage and the best part is it's only $3/lb. There's such a variety of colors and patterns throughout the stone, it's just awesome. I already had the SCJ, I won a 5+lb chunk from woodscicle on ebay awhile back, and when I was putting my garage back together I came across it. That piece also has a nice variety of colors, from the usual yellow/white, to browns and blacks. Next up will be some of the Lavic jasper I got from Stoneage. That stuff looks pretty sweet too.

Ed: I just checked out Stoneage's site. Pretty neat material at really decent prices. I tried to click on the fancy jasper heading though and it wouldn't come up. Guess that means they're probably out of that material. That blood jasper is really nice though. I'll be interested to see how you do with the Lavic material. I hunt there often and have quite a bit but it's usually a problem child when I go to work it due to vugs, soft spots and hardness differences etc. I'll bet you nail it though. You've definately got the cabbing skills. Maybe you'll even find some Lavic Plume. It's really pretty....mel

Really nice cabs Stoner. Is all that Blood Jasper translucent like the one that is backlit?? You do some amazing stuff. You've got to be building up a HUGE collection of cabs. Just keep em' coming. I think we all enjoy your work and seeing all the different material that you cab up. Steve

Wow Ed, those are amazing. I like the first and the backlit ones most. Those stone canyon cabs make me think of that giant piece of rough at the rockshop near you! It's still haunting me, though with an upcoming Seattle trip (rock shop stop hopefully in there) and a show coming in October here in Santa Rosa, it's probably out of the question.
Those are cabs are all stunning and I love how you find new and interesting material all the time. Steve
