I am trying an experiment which I'm not at liberty to talk about yet, but these are the first 2 I've got done. Tell me what you think. This first one is a Laker. Here is a Cathedral Agate.

They came out very nice. Ed, would have called them "secrets", but once you tell more than one person, it is no longer a secret. Lucky me, I visited Ed on my lunch yesterday (another one of those two hour lunches) and he showed/explained his new idea. Of course, Ed bribed me with some cool slabs, so my lips are sealed!

I like em Ed, if anything the shapes have much more control on them compared to allot of your other cabs. You got nice semitrey in both.

Hey are you trying foil backing your translucent cabs? It really bounces the light back through them and shows of mossy or banded material real well. Bottom one looks almost like its backed....mel

If the experiment is making kick-ass cabs we already figured it out! You should make a "guess what I'm up to" contest. Those are beautiful. I like the Cathedral agate. It that the stuff from Stoneage industries? If so, is it grade 1 or 2? (I've had my on on it) That laker is amazing. It looks like a sunset from a white sandy beach, well, an upside-down sunset, but beautiful none the less. Steve

Very nice stones. That last one is really cool, not only the moss showing through but I really like the shape.

C'mon now. You could have just told us they were new cabs without mentioning the 'secret' part. Now we're all dying here. Not nice. :-(
Oh yes, beautiful work as usual.
