Here's today's cabs, I think you might enjoy these. Black Goldstone 30x22mm New Mexico Jasper from Susan 33x20mm Plume Agate. I haven't done one of these shapes in a while and it just seemed to fit this stone. 44x20mm These next 2 are more of my experimental cabs. Moss Agate 30x18mm Tube Agate, I think, 36x20mm Another direction to catch the light. Thanks for looking.

The alternate direction looking at that tube agate makes a big difference. This must be one of your "Ed's cab trick" cabs. That is some beautiful material. It reminds me of a jellyfish. Great looking cabs as usual. That jasper from New Mexico is especially nice. Steve

Oooooooo that moss agate is beautiful and I love the shape of the plume agate. I never knew that goldstone came in black, that's really pretty, like a starry night. Thanks Ed, looking forward to seeing many more when I get back.

Wow that plume looks just like Lavic Siding Plume. I really like it, shape and colors both. I didn't know goldstone came in black either. The black makes kind of a classy looking stone......mel

That goldstone is awesome, if it's anything in person like the reddish goldstone, that must be awesome in person - I didn't know it came black too i thought it was limited to blue, red & green - I guess being man-made it can be pretty much any color... I love the plume agate - how thick are your slabs??? I wanna be just like you!!!
Me likes! - please adopt me....

Nice.
Are you sure that NM is jasper? I think it might be P-wood. That looks like the golden stuff with the Hematite banding. Anyway, it's beautiful.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I found that slab of black goldstone in the box I got from rhodescabbin and thought, what the hell, may as well try it. That stuff is a difficult stone to get all the imperfections out. Maybe because it's black, I don't know, I've never worked any other color goldstone. But once it's all cleaned up and you put it to the diamond paste, wow, what an incredible shine. As KD noted, those are my fingers and the camera showing in the photo. Tweetie, I usually cut my slabs at 1/4" or less, depending on the stone. The agates I like to cut thinner, especially with my new method of making them capture ambient light. Susan, I just guessed at that stone as being jasper, it may be wood. That one took an incredible shine too.
