Today is my birthday and all I wanted to do today was play with rocks and barbecue ribs. So, I found some time to cut some cabs. The cabs look better than the picture (its the camera!) Rutilate Quartz Morocan agate Mushroom Jasper

All day, and you only cut 3 cabs? ;D ;D ;D I'm glad you had a nice day today Cal. Rocks, BBQ, and a few brews, who could ask for more. So you finally got into that Rutilated quartz, nice job. And that Morrocan Agate is just too much. Happy Birthday Cal.

The ribs were great. I did make an exception and took my daughter to the park to ride her bike and see the horses while my son and wife went to see "How to Eat Fried Worms". For some reason my girl had no interest in seeing the movie LOL.
I also did some cutting on the workforce. Unlike some of you pro's, I work at a snail's - I am lucky to finish one in an hour!
KD, the Moroccan agate came from the Gemshop. I only had one rock with that pattern, I kept a couple of slabs and gave some to Stoner. There is a wide variety in the Moroccan agates, some orangey/reddish, grayish banded, etc.

Funny story - my department (all three of them) took me out to lunch last week. While standing in line ordering the food, I mentioned that I took it slow on my birthday and all I wanted to do was "play with my rocks". I turned around and this lady was just staring at me. I bet you she took my comment in a perverted way LOL. Be careful what you say in public.
