Hey Guys, here are 5 cabs from this weekend cutting i wanted to share. in another thread it was brought up, theres an American Pietersite. Well from my knowledge its know now as Bronzite and comes from Wyoming, very rare stuff, and not as chatoyant, but very intense colorations. Here are two examples. heres a super fine set of BC jade. Snowdog and i traded for some and man, what a color! Here is a designer cab of Royal Imperial Jasper, man i love this stuff and haven't worked it in a bit. Was reminded from a recent thread on this board to work some. And last is a fun thing, new to me as well. I call it the Statepuff. Its is a synthetic Alexandrite, which has a color shift under certain lighting. But a real nice purple color. Its faceting grade rough, super clear stuff. So i carved a simple design into the back of the cab. The links goto a new gallery and shows a small thumb. Click on it if its small to pull up the large one. Enjoy~

Wonderful cabs. I like the bronzite with all the different colors. But then again that jade is a very nice shade of green. KimJ

Oooooooooh - that bronzite is a perfect "fall" color combo cab! The jade, as always, is gorgeous. I'm still ogling the slabs snowdog sent me - I'm not good enough yet to cab them up!! Maybe, middle of winter when I've gone thru all the rough stuff. How was it to work with? I love the shape on the jasper!

I like them all, especially the Impreial Jasper. The patterns almost make it look like wood. I like the jade too, and it looks like you got a real nice polish on it. Thanks for the photos. Steve

Thanks guys, the Imperial is my fav too. Nothing like a gem jasper in my opinion.
Shelby: compared to most jades, i was really impressed on how easy this stuff was to cut, polishing is not easy. As Jade likes heat to bring out the polish, but since it wasnt fractured i was too worried abuot creating fractures though heat polishing.

I'm getting dehydrated looking at all these fabulous cabs everyone is posting. I like the top material really well, but the color on that Jade is stunning. Very Nice Shain....I really need a Genie. Anyone have an extra 1500$ laying around...PUPPIE!!! Steve
