Great cabs especially that first one with the threads. Looks like you'll get some nice ones out the bottom piece too. KimJ

Hi Jamie,
Wow thanks!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad to hear you like the rocks-That cab work is outstanding-did you cut that??? Very good job. Also, my bad, as that looks like the rock I labeled as India Green Moss and seeing it cut looks so much like the Ochoco Green Tube Moss. Sure looks wild with those thread like feelers...I have another question, what kind of camera are you using??? I have been using this Olympus D-460 for almost 6 years and it is worn out. I love the detail your camera shows...Thanks again Jamie and anytime you wanna do this again just tell me what was your favoite variety of rock I sent and I'll make sure that you get more of that variety...

Very cool Jamie, nice definition in those tubes for sure. Nice shapes too! That last piece looks to be a graveyard or regency type Black plume. Fun stuff to work, and if it clear enough, its great for doublet making. However it works best with the pastel colors, i would think the black plume would get lost as i never tried it.

Hi Susan, it sure enough looks like Northridge. I bought it about 5 or 6 years ago, a few chunks from Shirt Quants Old Collection. All cut up fantastic except one chunk had all the busy plumes and color tones but was pitted out real bad, but that didn't matter as I was very well pleased with what he sold me... In relation to the original old Graveyard Point digs I'm not sure exactly where Northridge sits or how far it is. Naturally I always assumed it was North LOL... I (Think) Regency comes from closer to Nyssa Oregon, I know Shain knows. Thats bad on my part lol as I'm an Oregonian and he knows more about alot of Oregon Agates than I do...I do know that I have came acrossed these wild chunks in several different old Collections around Prineville. The ones that are really wild is when they get the metalic like silver streaks-Mercy!!!

Dale, I wouldn't go that far. lol There is allot of agates i know about from Oregon but i will get stumped many times. I did want to say recently i saw one of your auctions for a moss agate nodule, "koroit like patterns". That was a Beacon and man was it a nice one.
From the research ive done over the years on The Oregon/Idaho Plume agate we call Graveyard/regency/northridge is they all have very similar characteristics that makes it extremely difficult to tell one apart from another. As i have Tons of rough that is a dead on for Northridge plume, however according to the Miner at M2stone, Anything collected prior to 1995 can not be called Northridge. And i know mine dated to around 1977. The Regency or Pink plume normally was known only as a "red" or "pink" plume agate, but after further digging there over the years, golden came out in more quality. The Original Graveyard would produce both White and black plumes. Pure snow white, and Highly defined Black marcasite plumes. But all three types would produce mixtures that would look similar to your piece Jamie.
Last is the Idaho Plume which would produce jasper and opal mixed with the plume, green plumes and heavy Carnelian like agate. It would also produce fine deep and thick marcasite plume.
So its very difficult to really ID any to one stop anymore unless it is recently mined stuff. Because they all come from the same geologic process from Eastern Oregon and Western Idaho from what i know. But ive never been to any of these places in person.

Wowzer- Moss agate has to be one of my all time favorites and you nailed that first one Jamie!!! THat Plume agate is steller- I especially like the Blue Fortification area under the black plumes- If that is solid it is gonna make some fine cabs-

Nice job on the cab Jamie. The inclusions on that look really cool. So have you finished the plume cab yet?

The second one is the other half of the same slab the first one was cut from. The slab below them I believe is graveyard point.
