I snuck out of work early today, so I thought I would take some pictures of the cabs that I made using the Genie. My camera doesn't have macro, so usually the pictures don't show any detail. However, I borrowed a trick from Cher, I used the magnifying glass on the Genie to enlarge the cabs. The magnifying glass does help enlarge the picture, which does help show more of the detail. The first one is some picture jasper from Daniel (deb193), thanks Daniel! The next one is something from Stoner - Petrified algae. Thanks Ed. Sorry to hear that you re-joined the working world, I miss your cabs. This one is from DesertDweller - Red agate - Thanks, Jamie This one is Misty Mountain/Royal Savanah from Madagascar. The glare is terrible, but at least you can see the mountains. Yellow Jasper Canadian River Plume - Texas

Kim, I bought the chunk of Royal Savannah from Kingsley North, then I have seen similar rock advertised as Misty Mountain both of which come from Madagascar, so I am not sure what to call it. I really like the parts that look like mountains, so the misty mountain part fits best. But, the parts without mountains is a swirling mix of greens, browns, tans, reds. I have a piece sitting in front of me and I just noticed some really faint orbs, like you would find on Bruneau jaspers.

There you are Cal. Nice job on these cabs. The Texas plume is my fav. Good to see you getting some use out of the Genie. Since I've slowed to a crawl producing cabs, you have to start picking up some of the slack. I'll have some to post tomorrow evening.

Wow it's about time- That Misty Mountain is awesome- can't wait to work some of mine (actually I'm afraid to even start preforming it- It is so beautiful and has soo many possibilities!) Looks like you figured out the Genie pretty quick!

Very nice job on all but one of my fav all time stones to cab is the misty mountain. I have a few chunks and a couple of really nice slabs that I can't bring my self to cut into blanks because I like to look at the slabs. One of these days, one of these days.
