Here is a set I just finished for a client, cut from Turkish Blue Chalcedony. This is a tricky cut, because it like faceting, but you not getting flat surfaces. They are rounded. The squares are easy to do, but the rectangle is not. Only because its has longer lines. I hope you all enjoy and I will do a write up in the coming months on how to cut these. they are all 10mm high and were freehand. The chalcedony is clean gel material, the darker rectangle has some slight inclusions, but the lighter squares have none.

YOu know, im not sure what the client plans to do with them. But they could work in many driections i figure as well. John, the important thing has to do with the thickness of the preforms. And yees, they are basically rolled. Getting even rolls was pretty difficult. So that not only the lines would line up on the top, but so the profile was even as well.

Nice job Shain. Very unique shapes. They look like they could be mounted on a ring very easily.
