It seems like old times around here again. I was able to sit down and cut another decent batch of cabs. Ruby in Zoisite, 30x22mm I'm not sure about this one, but the blue specks look like Lapis 28x25mm Gaudalupe Poppy Jasper, 32x12mm These next two are Mexican Onyx 30x22mm 30x22mm These two are from a box of Mexican Agates I got from Riverbend Lapidary. Very nice flat rate box filled with these sweet agates. 30x22 40x30mm Thanks for looking.

Nice to see you able to find time again for some major cabbing, Ed. "Decent" is definitely an understatement here. -Don

Sweet cabs Ed! Love the last two moss agates. I got some similar material from some Durango prospectors at the Snyder Ranch Pow Wow year before last. I'm gonna have to cut mine now that I've got me a new blade. Gonna have to stop the rockhounding long enough to do some cutting and cabbing one of these days. Nice job on the ruby in zoisite too. I've always found that stone tough to work....mel

This whole batch is amazing. I like the last one lots but you know which one I gotta pick- that Guadalupe jasper is just stunning. It's like there's two different types of poppies from one end of the stone to the other. I like the mexican onyx also, very soothing and nice. Oh, and that second stone could be lazulite in something. Very unusual for sure. I gotta say too, looks like you are still cabbing like crazy- almost as much as before the job. You were worried about not getting to do it as much, but from the RTH point of view, you are still churnin those beauts out like before. Steve

Oh, forgot to say- I really like your new avatar too! I was just thinking about those koroites you did recently and I was about to look through the old posts to find them, but then there was your avatar! Cool! Steve

Thanks everyone. It seems all the onyx slabs have some bad fractures in them. I was trying to get a nice peach colored cab for one of the RTH members. The Mexican agates from Riverbend Lapidary are all really nice like these two pieces. I talked to my boss yesterday and as of next week, I'll only be working 3 days a week. WOOHOO!!!!! Back to being able to cut cabs and taking care of business for Stones In Motion. So hopefully I'll be back to my old self again.

love that last one best of all but i like them all. that 1st mex onyx one doesn't look like it has any fractures in it stoner.

Thanks guys. Kim, the ruby in zoisite is a difficult stone to get an even shine on, in fact I've got to take this one back and add a 600 sanding and then on to 1200 and polish. Most of it took a nice shine, but some of it could use some help.
Glad you made it to NM John. You're in a great area for doing some collecting. I may be moving to Las Cruces in Feb if my wife can't find a new job here. If you're at Elephant Butte, we may be nieghbors.
