I spent the day in front of the grinder looking out at the cold weather. I was glad I was in a cold garage, partially drenched and standing in a puddle. I put on some soft music for ambiance; in this case my favorite album: Noisy rock saw. It kept me company while it worked on some Picasso Jasper (which is really cool by the way). The mood was right- for cabbing! Here they are (Sorry for the photo quality. It was dark by the time I got done so I couldn't take them outside). Hope you like them. Steve Brecciated jasper. I've got a lot of this stuff so you will probably be seeing more of this. I like it a lot. This one has a pit but it didn't stop me. Heck, if you aviod pits, you would never have cherries, and those a re yummy! Little dryhead and little Ocean Jasper. The dryhead looks better in person. I managed to grind right down to the crystaly center so it sparkels just under the surface. Three more Ocean Jasper fellows. I almost ground off the orb on the triangle one, but I wasn't going to give up. Morgan Hill Poppy Jasper. The big one I almost gave up on because of a big crack, but I ground down until it was better. Notice the points coming from some of the orbs. This is pretty unusual Morgan Hill jasper. Guadalupe Jasper. Crazy lace agate. I spent a long time working on this because I knew it would come out good if I went slow and did it right.

Cold weather? Are you kidding? It was a beautiful day here in the south bay. That's okay, you keep the cold up there. You certainly did choose some nice stones to play with in this batch. The crazy lace is awesome, nice job on the cut and taking the time to do it right. The brecciated jasper is really nice too. I've got a name for the Gaudalupe on the right; "Ghost in the machine", or in this case, the rock. Nice work there Steve

Sweet Lace!! Love the poppy also. What do you mean about points in the poppy? You did a great job on all of those, even if it was cold. LOL Tonja

All nice, but I love the first oe. Nice contrast between the opaque yellow and the milky/clear quartz.

Oh, yeah. Great stuff. My favorites are Orbicular Jaspers and of course that unbeatable Craze Lace Agate.
