Hi all I was just wondering if one of you all knows what my problem is with the course grit. when I opened up the barrel today to re charge the course grit there was some grit and some rocks at the bottom of the barrel stuck their not tumbling. Don't know what I did wrong. It looks like that the grit was on the bottom and had not tumbled all week. It was not broken down.
Thank you very much

Noosh,
I get this sometimes under the following circumstances.
1 - I have placed too much grit in the barrel in proportion to the amount of stone in there.
2 - I have not put enough water in the barrel in relation to the amount of grit.
3 - I havent cleaned the slurry out between 4 or 5 recharges - I just stuck a load more grit in.
4 - I have left the barrel on its end for way too long and all the stuff has settled (weeks in fact when I went on hols).
Combinations of the above.
Point 1 is my most probable cause though.
Cheers

I encounter #4 from time to time. I just clean out the barrel and recharge after about five days or so. By that time most of the grit has broken down anyway.
